Commissioner of Police
Mr. Atlee Patrick Rodney is the Commissioner of Police of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda. He was enlisted in the organization on 15th October, 1982. On 25th November, 2019he was appointed to the rank of Commissioner of Police. With thirty-seven (37) years of service, he brings to this position a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Commissioner Rodney before joining the Police Force worked as a Primary School teacher at the Savanne Paille Primary School. Subsequently after his enlistment into the organization, used his wealth of knowledge to propel himself through the ranks. He worked in several Divisions/Departments including Special Patrol Group, Narcotics, Out Stations, Criminal Investigation, Police Training School where he was the Chief Instructor, Human Resource and the Staff Office. He was seconded to the Regional Security Services (RSS) and worked as the Staff Officer there. During his
policing career, Commissioner Rodney attended several notable courses to include Hostage Negotiations, RSS Instructors Manuel Development for Recruit Syllabus, First Management of Project on International Cooperation, RSS Staff & Command, CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit Annual training and Executive Leadership. He also attended the 26th Annual General Meeting of Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police, Seminar on Emerging Communication Network for Developing Countries, Police Management, Intelligence Gathering and Analysis from Governments and other Institution in the Caribbean and Central America.
He pursued studies and was awarded his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Valle de Puebla in Mexico on February 18, 2011. In the year 2019, Commissioner Rodney was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal (QPM) for his contributions to National and Regional Security in the Caribbean Region on April 5 2018.T


Mr. Albert Wade is the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations within the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda. He was enlisted in the organization on 5th October 1982 and have worked various departments and divisions over his tenure including, Special Patrol Group,Marine Coast Guard. Telecommunications, Computer Center and the Staff Office.
Officer and after was attached to Beat and Patrol. In 1980 he requested to be transferred to the Fire Brigade because of a newfound interest in firefighting.Mr. Weaver’s work ethics produced consistent promotions during the years. The administration was impressed with his interest and performance that he was nominated and attended numerous courses including Airport Junior Fire Officers Course in Canada, Sword Drill Course, Basic Fire Prevention and Fire Investigation Course, Occupational Safety and Health Administration Workshop to advance his knowledge in the firefighting field, Law Enforcement Management Development, Senior Police Administration, Regional Security System (RSS) Executive Development Program to name a few. Assistant Commissioner Weaver worked as Aide de Camp to the Governor-General from 2005 to 2006.

He also served as an instructor for the RSS training team for the RSS basic course 1/93 in Barbados and participated in exercise tradewinds 1991, 1992, 1994, 1997, 1998, and 2002. Assistant commissioner Dinard was seconded to the RSS for a period of three years and assisted the training team with pre-course administration duties.
Throughout his policing career, he has worked at various departments within the Police Force, which included “A” Division, Narcotics Department, Barbuda Police Station, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations with the responsibility of all the stations in the state with the inclusion of the Traffic Department and presently is in charge of the Human Resource Department. Assistant Commissioner of Police Cuffy attended many training sessions throughout his career such as, RSS Trainings, Drug Commanders in Jamaica, Financial Manipulation Analysis in Barbados, Systematic Search Procedures and Search Advisors Course in Jamaica, HM Customs and Excise Intelligence and Recruitment in St. Lucia, 9Supervisors Development amongst many others.

Assistant Commissioner Joseph has attended several training courses throughout his policing career locally, regionally and internationally, the most noteworthy being Executive Staff & Command (UWI, Cave Hill Campus), Staff and Junior Command (National Staff College, Jamaica), Tactical Medic course (A.U.A), Advanced Criminal Investigation, Drug Interdiction and Caribbean Border Enforcement to name a few. He is also a qualified RSS lecturer and served as an Instructor for the RSS Training Team, facilitating a number of courses, including the RSS Senior Leadership Course 1/2018 and 2019 and RSS Staff & Command.He is also a lecturer forRSS Crime Scene First Responders Course and RSS Crime Scene Management throughout the RSS member states.
