The Special Service Unit is a unit within the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda that is responsible for conducting operations of a tactical/ specialized nature. The unit provides anti-riot responses, natural disaster responses, key point defense, bank escorts, mobile patrols, hostage situations, serious crimes involving the use of firearms, providing support to other departments, support to Regional Security System(RSS) and any other duties as prescribe by the Commissioner of Police.

Member of the Special Service Unit have specialized training in weapon handling, tactical operations, and have been deployed on a number of occasions both locally and regionally.

The unit is based at Police Headquarters and is also tasked with manning the guard desk and providing security for the compound.
