This Department is under the command of a Superintendent of Police Mr. Rodney Ellis. He is responsible to the Assistant Commissioner (Operations) for the efficient management of operational traffic duties within the geographical area of “A” Division; all matters concerning traffic control and circulation and the enforcement of Traffic Laws
He has responsibilities for
- Technical Services ( Transport)
- Maintenance of all Traffic Accident and statistic
- Traffic control legislation for special events
- Traffic control at special function
- Major traffic operations throughout the island
- Coordinating road safety and accident prevention programmes
- Management and Maintenance of all Police transport
- Laison with Ministry of Public Utilities, Public, Civil Aviation, and Transport Board
